First Grade Homework Policy      Homework will be assigned by your child's Language Arts block teacher.  The purpose of homework is to practice and reinforce skills learned in LA block to build accuracy, fluency, expression, comprehension, and confidence!  Ten minutes should be spent on assigned spelling and/or sight word activities, and ten minutes on reading for enjoyment.       All homework materials will be sent home in the student's clear homework envelopes and should be returned the next school day for use in class.  Lost books will result in a charge.  Please note that there will be no formal math homework.
