Safety Patrol Hall of Fame LE Inductees

Congratulations to Talia Bertrando and Lillian Durbin, students at Lititz Elementary School, for recently being inducted into the AAA Central PA Safety Patrol Hall of Fame.

On Saturday, May 5, they were honored at a dinner and induction program at the Sheraton Harrisburg/Hershey Hotel along with their parents and fellow inductees.  Out of hundreds of nominations, eight students were chosen covering a nine county area.

The Safety Patrol Hall of Fame is a prestigious program open to all Safety Patrollers in the Central PA region. The process begins with nominations from Patrol Advisors. Advisors may nominate up to three of their top Patrol members.

Upon arrival of nominations from Advisors, AAA Central Penn sent a list of essay questions to the nominees’ home addresses. These were completed and returned to AAA where they were collectively judged and scored by a panel of judges ,independent from AAA. The winners were informed of their induction status and formally invited to the Induction Banquet.

Along with a beautiful plaque, each inductee received a $100 Visa gift-card.  Lititz Elementary School also received a $150 check to help cover any costs associated with their safety patrol program.
