I grew up in Milroy, Pennsylvania, and attended Indian Valley Middle School, where I first found my love for reading through the book The Grapes of Wrath in 8th Grade. That love propelled me to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts English from Penn State University and a Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Secondary English Education from Millersville University. I finished my Master's Degree in English Education in 2020. Following this, I taught at Warwick High School and Conestoga Valley High School as a Long Term Substitute. I started my career at Warwick Middle School in 2013.
Outside of school, my interests include playing and listening to music, reading, watching movies, writing fiction, hiking, and trying new foods. I strongly believe that my interests inform my teaching and vice versa. I look forward to getting to know my students' interests this year.
