I am excited to work with you this year. I previously taught chemistry at West York Area High School. I have been proud to call myself a Warwick employee since 2008. I live in Lititz, but I grew up in the Manheim Central School District. In 2017-2018, I received the Allen Floyd Whalen Memorial Award for excellence in chemistry education from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Section of the American Chemical Society (SEPSACS). In 2018-2019, I received the Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting's (MARM) award for the American Chemical Society's excellence in high school chemical education. In 2021-2022, I received the North Museum Board of Directors' Prize for Excellence in Science Education. I would not have been able to receive these honors without my awesome coworkers and students.
My goal is for you to learn the basics of chemistry, science, and problem-solving. You will not only learn the theory of chemistry but also how chemistry applies to your daily life. As my license plate states, I C ATOMS, and I hope you will too by the end of the year.
