Mrs. Katie Shickman was born and raised in Lancaster County and has been working in education since 2012. She began her career teaching High School ELA at Conestoga Valley School District. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Shickman worked as a social worker in Lancaster County. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the University of Delaware, and she earned her Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She is currently completing her Master's Degree in Teaching Writing at Johns Hopkins University.
Outside of school, Mrs. Shickman enjoys spending time with her husband and twins (Henry & Benny). Mrs. Shickman loves living in Lititz, swimming at Woodridge, and eating at the Bulls Head or Dosie Dough. She also enjoys reading, going to the beach, and spending time outdoors.
