Ceramics 2 is a course building on the skills developed in Ceramics 1. While new skills and techniques will be introduced, projects can be completed using various methods of construction chosen by the student. Assigned projects are more complex and often multi-faceted, and students are encouraged to establish a personal voice or style with their artwork. Glazing knowledge and techniques will be extended, introducing some alternative methods of firing such as raku, horsehair, and pit firing.
