4th Graders receive Tier 2 reading instruction with a small group of grade level peers.
During this 40 minute block of time, the students receive instruction in the reading programs Cars & Stars and Rewards.
The interventions and skills that we use focus on are phonemic awareness, reading fluency, accuracy, decoding, comprehension, and vocabulary skills.
In addition to reading interventions, students have the opportunity to receive math support as determined by their teachers in order to strengthen specific math skills. 4th grade also receives support in their 4th grade classrooms throughout the school day as needed.
