Dear 5th Grade Families,
Welcome to 5th grade at John Beck Elementary! My name is Mrs. Myers and I’m so excited to be your teacher! I am ready for a wonderful school year full of awesome learning opportunities!
Although this will be my third year at John Beck Elementary, I have been teaching for over 14 years. I love teaching at John Beck! My family loves the Warwick School District and my husband is also a teacher at Warwick High School. You may even have him as a teacher one day!
We will all learn together this year. We learn by making mistakes and working through them. We are a team in 5th grade. What does being on a team mean to you? To me, it means that we will work together to reach our learning goals in a safe, caring and positive classroom. We will use our individual strengths and unique qualities to support each other every day!
Parents and guardians, please know that my goal is to communicate with you clearly and on a regular basis. Please feel free to write me a note, email me or call the school office, and I will respond as soon as possible.
Below you will find a shopping list for the school year. If purchasing these items is difficult for your family, I will have extra supplies available. I can’t wait to see you in August!
