Valisa has been an educator for over 30 years. She has taught students ranging from kindergarten to twelfth grade in West Virginia, Florida and Pennsylvania. She began her career teaching Spanish at the secondary level and transitioned to the elementary level where she has had multiple teaching assignments, including teaching split level classrooms and being a Title One math support teacher. Currently, she teaches second grade at John Beck. Valisa firmly believes that by providing a safe and nurturing learning environment along with high expectations for all are the keys to providing a strong foundation for student success and well-being.
In her free time, you can usually find Valisa tagging along with her husband on one of his many outdoor adventures with the family dog or hanging out with her daughters and grandchildren.
