WHS Holds Recent Coffeehouse

About 180 Warwick High School students and 40 community members attended Warwick’s Club for the Integration of the Arts (CIA) annual coffeehouse event, held recently in the school’s cafeteria.

The event featured an art gallery, and a wide variety of musical entertainment, including: True Bamboo, The Districts, Kyle Williams, and Ana Clarke. The Drama Club performed two dialogues (featuring Casey Thomas) and eight students read original poetry. Refreshments, made by the high school's Family & Consumer Science Department were also offered for sale.

Proceeds from the evening ($348) were donated to a weekly coffeehouse for Blackfeet Indians in Browning, Montana, called Sacred Grounds. The Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse gives Blackfeet teens and young adults a venue to perform, share coffee, smoothies, and conversation.
