Students in Mr. Nate Nixdorf’s Ceramics Two class helped create handmade bowls for the 2nd Annual Lititz Empty Bowls Dinner.
The event is held at Rock Lititz in November and helps fight hunger within the Lititz community.
“This is a great opportunity for the students to give back to their community using the skills they’ve learned here at school,” stated Mr. Nixdorf.
This is the second year the Ceramics Two class has made bowls and donated them for the cause.
The Empty Bowls Project was started 25 years ago to raise money and awareness to end hunger. Empty Bowls brings together local artists and restaurants to benefit charities that help feed the hungry in their communities.
