My name is Carli Youndt and I am the Certified School Nurse at WHS. I enjoy meeting the incoming ninth graders as well as new students to Warwick. Yvonne Gingrich, RN, and Dorene Graber also work in the high school nurse's office and are a great asset to both students and staff.
I have been a nurse since 2003. I started as an LPN in 2003 and recently completed by MSN degree at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU). I spent the first 9 years of my nursing career as a home hospice nurse. I am also an adjunct faculty member at EMU and co-teach in the School Nurse Program.
In 2016 Warwick High School started a Future Nurses Club (FNC). This Club meets monthly and students learn more about areas and types of nursing, post-secondary education options for nursing, and what it means to be a nurse. A nurse facilitator from Lancaster General Health will help to co-lead the activities and serve as a resource for students.
I really enjoy getting to know students and watching them realize and grow into their potential. I have a special interest in mental health and am always learning something new about the ever changing role of the school nurse. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, reading, spending time with loved ones, and being near the ocean, especially in Cape Cod.
