Biography

I grew up outside of Buffalo, New York and attended Holland Central School. After graduation, I attended Temple University studying Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education while playing field hockey. After graduation, I returned to Buffalo, New York and worked as a second grade teacher, and then a special educator until moving to Lititz in 1999. At that time, I joined Warwick Middle School as a learning support teacher. I taught there from 1999-2005 when I had my first child. I was a stay-at-home mother from 2005 until 2012. During that year, I was a long-term substitute in three positions at Warwick. Following that year, I was hired once again by Warwick as a learning support teacher at the middle school.

Currently, I am co-teaching language arts, social studies, and science in the 8th grade. I also teach reading. My duties involve supporting students with and without IEPs in the general education setting. I help students make progress towards their goals and prepare them for high school.
