My name is Tanya Myers and I have been a physical therapist since 1994. I received my education at Temple University, Northeastern University, and Massachusetts General Hospital's Institute of Health Professions. I have worked in the schools in Boston, MA and Lancaster,PA. I have also worked in hospitals with adults in both MA, AZ, NY, and PA.
When we moved from Boston , MA to Lititz, PA in 2005, I worked for IU13 in multiple schools in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties including Warwick. I was officially hired by Warwick in 2017.
I have taught online at UMass Boston (I taught about visual impairment and it's impact on motor development) and I have also lectured at Northeastern University, Lebanon Valley College, Widener, and Massachusetts General Hospital's Institute of Health Professions.
I was inspired by the stories about Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan and I was honored to work in the same building that they were in. My cousin, who had muscular dystrophy, and my mom who had paralytic polio also inspired me to make the world a better place. I love working with kids, it is truly an honor and a gift to be doing this job.
