After a successful first year of having a Pre-K class at Kissel Hill Elementary, we are excited to share that registration is now open for the ‘22-’23 school year!
Like last year, we will only be offering one Pre-K classroom with 2 sessions (morning or afternoon). Due to limited seats available, applications will be reviewed and students will be selected based on the greatest financial and other child needs.
This program is designed to build a foundation and instill success within Warwick’s youngest learners. Students will study language arts, math, fine motor skills, science, school counseling and digital discovery with Mrs. Stacey Yunginger, the Pre-Kindergarten teacher here at Warwick.
After teaching this class this past year, Mrs. Yunginger feels that the best part of Pre-K is, “the learning that happens when students do not even realize it. We play, we sing, we dance, we talk, we explore, we create… and it is all done with fun! The growth of these littlest learners is amazing and they do not even realize they are ‘learning.’ Plus…” she adds with a smile, “The smiles and hugs are one of my favorite parts too!”
We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful teacher like Mrs. Yunginger shaping the minds of our kiddos!
The goal of our Pre-Kindergarten program is to continue to provide consistent and rigorous whole-child programming to all students. This program lays out structure, support, and service to enable students to enter into Kindergarten successfully.
With the first year of the Pre-K program under our belt, we’re looking forward to making next year’s program even better! Dr. Zac Bauermaster, Principal of Kissel Hill Elementary, says that, “The growth of the Pre-K students throughout our first year of programming has been tremendous! We are also encouraged by the parent connections that have been cultivated. Mrs. Yunginger has been instrumental in the design of this program. We are extremely thankful for her dedication along with the combined efforts of the support staff.”
We are greatly looking forward to continuing to grow the program and welcome another new class of Warriors to our Warwick family!

The deadline to submit your application is July 1, 2022. Parents will be notified on or around July 15th as to whether or not their child will be in the ‘22-’23 Pre-K class. The tentative start date for Pre-K is August 31st, 2022.
