WHS Students to Participate in County, District, and Honors Band

Congratulations to the following 21 students who qualified for the LLMEA County Band and Wind Ensemble, the PMEA District 7 Band South, and/or the Lebanon Valley College Honors Band.

LLMEA County Band and Wind Ensemble:

This festival combines musicians from across Lebanon-Lancaster County including the following school districts: Annville Cleona, Cedar Crest, Cocalico, Donegal, ELCO, Elizabethtown, Ephrata, Garden Spot, Lebanon, Linden Hall, Manheim Central, Mount Calvary, Northern Lebanon, Palmyra, and Warwick.

The show will be held on Saturday, February 1st beginning at 5:00 PM at Lebanon High School. The Symphonic Band will be led by guest conductor, Dr. Tyler Austin, Old Dominion University; and the Wind Ensemble will be led by guest conductor, Dr. Jim Colonna, Messiah University. Tickets can be purchased at the door (cash only) and are $7.00 each.

PMEA District 7 Band South: 

This band is made up of students from Lancaster, York, Adams, and Franklin counties.

This two-day festival will end with a concert on Saturday, January 25th at Lampeter-Strasburg High School beginning at 4:00 PM. The guest conductor will be Dr. Tonya Mitchell-Spradlin, Penn State University. Tickets can be purchased at the door (cash only). The cost is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.

This is a two-day music festival that will end with a free concert on Saturday, January 18th at Lebanon Valley College’s Blair Music Center. The guest conductor will be Dr. Chris Heffner, Lebanon Valley College.
