The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Eastern Division Honors Ensembles are comprised of students who earned all-state status last school year in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.
This year, over 2,000 all-state students from the above-mentioned states applied, and two of our Warwick students are among the selected participants.
Congratulations to seniors Jacob Soslow (Percussion) and Gannon Ziegler (Tenor 1). Jacob is one of two percussionists from the state of Pennsylvania and Gannon is one of eight tenor I’s from the state of Pennsylvania to be accepted into their respective ensembles.
The festival will take place in Hartford, CT starting on April 24th, and culminating with a concert performance on Sunday, April 27th.
The guest conductor of the band is Dr. Travis J. Cross, the Director of Bands at UCLA, and the conductor of the Mixed Chorus is Dr. Anton Armstrong, the Conductor at St. Olaf College.
Congratulations to both Jacob and Gannon on this incredible honor!
