Staff Recognized for ‘My Warwick – Your Impact’

Each season, senior athletes are given the opportunity to choose a staff member to be recognized for the impact they have on students’ lives. For the Winter season, the following staff members were chosen:

Basketball (Boys):

Mr. Jon Taylor, a Middle School Counselor, was recognized by senior Caleb Johnsen. Caleb recognized him for the tremendous job he does supporting his students so that they can reach their goals.

Mrs. Sam Snyder, a High School Business Education Teacher, was recognized by senior Parker Horst. Parker recognized her because she introduced him to the Men in Business club which has inspired him to become a better person and lead by example. Mrs. Snyder was also recognized by senior Jacob Spade because her class lead him to his chosen career path by making learning enjoyable and fun.

Bowling:

Mr. Elton Sturges, a Middle School Language Arts Teacher, was recognized by senior Taylor Miller. Taylor recognized him for the way he goes above and beyond to support his students by filling a variety of roles at Warwick.

Swimming:

Mrs. Brittany Johnson, a High School Math Teacher, and Mrs. Rebecca Myers, a High School Business Education Teacher, were recognized by senior Linnea Miller. Linnea recognized them for their consistency in going above and beyond for their students.

Mr. Gary Minnich, a High School Math Teacher, was recognized by senior Erin Sahd. Erin recognized him for the way he challenges his students to reach their potential and does so with kindness and a great sense of humor.

Mr. Nate Nixdorf, a High School Art Teacher, and Mr. Mike Neuman, a High School Math Teacher, were recognized by senior Adelaide Pusey. Adelaide recognized them for the way they teach and work with their students to ensure they learn and succeed, despite the steep learning curve and challenges of their classes.

Mr. Dalton Patterson, a High School Science Teacher, was recognized by senior Molly Swift. Molly recognized him for the way he challenges his students to tackle difficult work with a belief in students’ abilities that instills confidence beyond his classroom.

Winter Track:

Dr. Melanie Calender, an Assistant Superintendent, was recognized by senior Zoe Wiker. Zoe recognized Dr. Calender for her strong leadership, mentorship, and encouragement she displays.

Mrs. Shirley Kachelries, a High School Wolrd Languages Teacher, was recognized by Logan Richard for being an outstanding teacher and for making learning fun. He especially appreciates the memories he and his classmates made on their trip to Costa Rica with Mrs. Kachelries.

Wrestling (Boys):

Mrs. Sarah Holton, a Kissel Hill 5th Grade Teacher, was recognized by senior Tyson Kilgore. Tyson recognized her for always believing in him and making school enjoyable.

Wrestling (Girls): 

Mrs. Barbara Wolfe, A High School Family/Consumer Science Teacher, was recognized by senior Lilly Sell. Lilly recognized her for being an amazing teacher and a terrific Track & Field Coach for Hempfield School District.

We are so blessed to have such an impactful staff here at Warwick! Thank you to every staff member who had a hand in shaping the lives of these students.
