The Warwick Robotics Club, also known as the Warwick Robotic Pretzels, recently wrapped up their second successful season in the national FIRST Technical Challenge (FTC). The season officially ended in February, but the team is keeping the momentum going with off-season redesigns, robot improvements, and a strong focus on community outreach.
This Spring and Summer, the team aims to share their passion for robotics and STEM throughout the Lititz community. They’ve already made an appearance at the Community STEM Night at Warwick High School in early March and are preparing for their next big event: Lititz Pretzel Fest on Saturday, April 26, where they’ll demo their robot from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Stop by to meet the team, see the robot in action, and learn more about how it works!
The team competed in two FTC qualifiers this season:
December 15, 2024 – Greyhound Sprint Qualifier: Ranked 12th out of 18 teams
January 13, 2025 – Blue Streak Qualifier: Ranked 17th out of 30 teams
This year, the team designed and built two different robots to maximize time for programming and driver practice. Their competition robot, cleverly named ShaqBot, earned its title thanks to its ability to dunk into a high basket—just like the basketball legend!
